The western end of High Street and surrounding side streets has long been recognised for beautiful architecture and hass recently been included in the State Register of Heritage Places as a place that represents the story of Western Australian history and development.
We’re a bit in love with Fremantle’s West End.
The connection to Fremantle’s past is significant but it’s the flavour and energy of the place now that pulls you in. It’s the buzz of students from Notre Dame moving between lectures or sitting at parklets outside some of Freo’s eclectic cafés and restaurants like Chalkys Espresso and Moore and Moore Cafe.
It’s the collectives like Artisan and Common Ground Collective and shops that specialise in stunning design, jewellery, fashion, vintage records and books or the creative set operating out of studios in basements, warehouses and upper levels. They’ve all got a story to share, here’s ours X
