Costume Hats and Horns

This introductory workshop is perfect for those interested in cosplay, theatre and performance. We'll be experimenting with different materials and techniques to allow you to create your own set of theatrical horns or costume hat. Because of the nature of the course this is only open to participants aged 12 and over. Steampunk, monster, sinister or stylish you'll first design your headwear then get stuck into our workshop to help you create. Staff will be on hand to advise and guide you and you'll have access to a wide range of foams and fabrics to help you get started.

Batik Dyeing

This method of wax-resistant dyeing produces stunning lengths of colourful cloth depicting wonderful illustrations and patterns as varied as the imagination. Because of the nature of the course this is only open to participants aged 12 and over. The lengthy but rewarding process is covered in this workshop allowing everyone to get hands on with dying their own pattern or drawing. We'll look at how to create different effects and experiment with drawing on paper and fabric and each student will take home their very own work of art.

Ear Candy Workshop

Got a passion for fashion?! Show off your style with some glam statement earrings designed and made by you! In this two hour class, you will learn basic jewellery making skills, including how to assemble hardware and decorative elements using pliers, jump rings and eye pins. Bathers Beach Art Precinct

The Bathers Beach Art Precinct is part of the conservation and activation work around the historic Arthur Head area of Fremantle, Western Australia. Creative Kids Art Club

Creative Kids Art Club runs art and craft activities for 5 to 10 yr olds. Our classes are run by experienced art teachers, for 8 weeks during the school term, with all materials provided. We cover a range of new projects every term including activities from; painting on canvas, mask making, drawing, decoupage, sewing, sculpture, clay work, papier mache, print making and more. Our classes are suitable for new and continuing students. We also run a holiday workshop program.
