Fremantle Round House - 1pm cannon firing

Discover WA’s oldest public building . Find out what the ‘curfew bell’ was used for, how many cells the Round House had in the 1800s, and maybe even get locked up in our stock and pillory! At 1pm (sharp) each day, join us as we fire the cannon and lower the time ball on the Gun Deck next to the Round House. Art Kids Term 1

Term Dates 2018 – new classes commence on 21 February! Time – 3.40pm to 4.30pm, Wednesdays Location – Sullivan Hall, White Gum Valley Course Content – Our classes are perfect for students who love making art. In term 1 we will be engaging in a series of projects including life drawing, creative collage, mandalas, printmaking, small cities, photography, painting, sculpture, paper mache, origami and lots more. Suitable for ages 6 to 11 years with two teachers for every class. At the end of each term, students will have a great folio of artwork to take home. Term 1 Scratch and Electronics Course after school

Term 1 - 10-Weeks of after school classes in electronics and coding. Classes are kept small, maximum of 6 (please contact to accommodate a big group). For ages 7+ - Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, or STEM learning, to gain a basic understanding of ‘Physical Computing'; in other words, building interactive physical systems by the use of software and hardware that can sense and respond to the real world. Identify computer components, learn programming concepts using Scratch API (Application Programming Interface) with Raspberry Pi input/output electronics. Pre-requests: None. {Optionally, bring your own USB memory stick for back-ups, but not essential.}Objective: To Have Fun! Develop an appreciation for creativity, reasoning, problem solving and collaboration while having fun making video games. Understanding basic concepts of electronic circuits interfaced to a computer. Learn by doing hands-on physical computing activities to understand our human relationship to the digital world. Limited space, booking is essential.
