School Holiday Escape Tours

Fremantle Prison is WA’s only World Heritage listed building and one of the State’s premier tourist attractions. So why not take the kids? They are guaranteed to have fun while learning about this amazing site. The kids Escape! Tour is an exclusive tour for children aged 5 to 12 years old. These special tours cost $11.50 and are running on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the September/October school holidays. Children will visit the sites of numerous dramatic escapes through the Prison’s history. Electronics Coding 7-10 years old class

STEM Learning - Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics - using a Raspberry Pi SBC (single-board computer) to gain a basic understanding of ‘Physical Computing'. Physical Computing means building interactive physical systems by the use of software and hardware that can sense and respond to the real world. Gizmo Cats identify computer components, learn programing concepts using Scratch API (Application Programming Interface) with Raspberry Pi GPIO (General Purpose Input/Output), Collaborate as a team to develop a video game with external controls (own imagination or sample project). Four (4) consecutive days of classes (Tue-Fri during School Holidays). For ages 7-10. Pre-requests: None. {Optional: bring your own USB memory stick to for own back-ups; purchase a Raspberry Pi single-board computer -  not required} Objective: To Have Fun! Develop an appreciation for creativity, reasoning, problem solving and collaboration. Understanding basic concepts of electronic circuits and input/outputs to/from a SBC. Learn by doing fun hands-on physical computing activities to understand our human relationship to the digital world. Pilates for the whole family

Kingsley became an AIPP Accredited Photographer in 2005 and is an experienced photography teacher.
