Learn to Crochet

Saturday afternoons are for learning to crochet a granny square (or several). This gentle, intro-to-the-world-of-crochet course will cover all the basics of using yarn, hooks, and enthusiasm to create your own cushion. Our plant guru Sharon will guide you through the process of preparing your surface board, attaching and presenting your Elkhorn plant. Learn to build and glaze your very own ceramic planter with artist Sarana Haeata across two-weekend sessions. In the first session, students will learn slip casting techniques to create the shape of their own hanging pot or bench top planter (or both!) By the end of this session each student will have a pot ready for firing.
