Bathers Beach Art Precinct

The Bathers Beach Art Precinct is part of the conservation and activation work around the historic Arthur Head area of Fremantle, Western Australia. The area is of historical significance for indigenous Australians and European settlement of Western Australia. The precinct is home to more than 20 established and highly respected sculptors, painters, photographers, Indigenous artists, a ceramic artist and designers, one of which is the famous sculptor Greg James who created the sculpture of the fisherman at Fishing Boat Harbour. Other artists include Joanna Robertson, Jenny Dawson, Peter Zuvela, Ann Land, Carol Hazel, Caroline Thompson and Tessa Joy. Studios Kidogo Arthouse, Wild Twig, Studio 11, Glen Cowans' stunning underwater photography and just around the corner Wolrd's End Studio and Ann Land's Studio at the end of Mrs Trivett Place. The precinct also includes the Walyalup Aboriginal Cultural Centre. It is an area that is evolving into a vibrant arts precinct with open studios, exhibitions, workshops, markets and festivals, that is rapidly being recognised worldwide for its beauty, heritage and the talent of the artists within it. The precinct itself includes links through to Victoria Quay and the Western Australian Maritime Museum, by boardwalk to Fishing Boat Harbour and the historic West End of Fremantle and overlooks Bathers Beach and the Indian Ocean. It encompasses the J Shed Artists Studios, the Round House studios on Captains Lane, WA's oldest building the Round House, the Whalers Tunnel, Kidogo Arthouse, Arthur Head Heritage site where Ann Land's Studio and the World's End Studio are situated (at the end of Mrs Trivett Place). South Beach Hotel

South Beach Sunset Markets

Come along to this fabulous summertime fun event at South Beach, South Fremantle, each Saturday night from 5 pm until 9 pm right through summer, commencing the first week of December. Feast on hawker food delights from the world over. Listen to live music. Enjoy kid's entertainment; animal farm; facepainting. Grab a drink from our 'pop-up bar'. watch the sun set over the beautiful Indian ocean. See you soon at the South Beach Sunset Market! The markets are held in a dog free zone. ** The City of Fremantle has extended the free CAT bus service from the city centre to South Beach while the sunset market is on throughout the summer. Last bus leaves Fremantle just after 9 pm.**

Yoga South Beach

What is it? Beautiful, simple and restorative morning classes run by Ava & Nadine on the grassy part of South Beach Freo (100m north of the South Beach Cafe). Soak in the sunshine, the fresh air and the energy of Fremantle at its best. When? Starting the first Monday of November (Nov 6th). 7-8am Classes are run by donation ($10- $20 recommended) What do I need? Please bring a mat, and a scarf/sarong to cover your eyes for the end relaxation or incase its chilly. If it is raining heavily at 645am the class will be cancelled. Yoga at Leighton Beach

Free Yoga at Leighton Beach, by Mirvac and Spanda School. Boost your wellbeing and self-care by the sea! Join us at one of our favourite WA beaches, Leighton Beach, as we celebrate the start of summer and our incredible coastline with a beautiful yoga series during November and December, completely FREE! Get a taste of the Leighton lifestyle while spending time relaxing and celebrating YOU. The class will be conducted by the incredible Ava Irani from Spanda School, who will be taking you through a sequence that is suitable for yogis of all levels (including beginners). It includes a harmonising of energies to allow you to experience all the balance, gratitude and joy to take you into the rest of your week. The details: Bring the yoga essentials - a yoga mat, water bottle, towel and positive attitude Head to the Mirvac Latitude Leighton Beach sales centre prior to the 5.30pm start time to get your name ticked off  Once your name has been ticked off you will be directed to the foreshore at Leighton Beach to warm up, tune into you and begin your session. We can’t wait to share this slice of paradise with you. See you then for stretching, serenity and sunsets!
