Building on a long-term friendship, Kirsty Watkins and renowned Perth artist Sharon” Shabbi” Phelps join forces to present an exhibition of combined work

The Exhibition features both Kirsty and Shabbi’s acrylic on canvas paintings and Shabbi’s pottery.

Chittering-based Shabbi says her inspiration comes from a love of colour, nature and the elements, which are reflected in both her clay pieces and paintings. Her style leans towards abstract, which she says is more organic, taking on a life of its own.  Shabbi has drawn the attention of art aficionados the world over, with clients in London, Ireland, Singapore and America.

Bicton-based Kirsty grew up surrounded by artists, sculptors, painters and potters and after many years honing her pencil and charcoal drawing skills turned her attention to acrylic painting after the birth of her first child in 2008. She draws on her love of all things from nature, particularly our northern landscapes and unique and beautiful WA coastline, both of which inspire much of her work.

The Exhibition features 26 clay pieces and eight paintings by Shabbi, 18 paintings by Kirsty, all for sale and both artists accept commissions.
