Overview

Opening on International Women's Day this exhibition is a celebration of desert women artists with their interpretation of  environment. Marina Strocchi is a Melbourne born, Alice Springs painter and printmaker who has over several decades been a mentor to Aboriginal artists whilst continuing to develop her own artistic career.  Internationally exhibited and collected, this will be the artists first solo exhibition in Perth, and is paired with new paintings from artists in the remote community art centres; Warlukurlangu Artists in Yuendumu, NT and Ninuku Artists in the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara lands near the triborder states of WA/NT/SA.  It also celebrates Artitja Fine Art's fifteenth birthday.
