Crochet Mandala Workshop with Prosecco

WHY SUN & FLOWER STUDIOS? I provide crochet classes for people who want to make and create in a safe and encouraging environment, where technique and enjoyment is proritised over perfectionism. I love helping my students grow in confidence and ability, and access whole new levels of calm and purpose that learning a craft can bring. The classes are guided by core values of creativity, compassion, and sustainability. Craft should be enjoyable as well as healthily challenging, and make the most of the resources we have around us. DATE/ TIME/ PLACE A series of three evening workshops 6.30pm-8.30pm in my workshop at Stackwood in White Gum Valley. Workshops will take place over three weeks on the 5th, 12th, and 19th of February. 2019. COST $150 covers all materials, including a crochet hook, yarn, rope, frame, and pattern: everything you need to design your own Mandala over three weeks, including access ongoing support, assistance, and encouragement to finish a piece or several! Coming to the first week ($75) will provide you with all the materials and patterns to get started, and you can go on to finish in your own time. THE WORKSHOP This is the workshop I have wanted to run for a long time. Although I love teaching to a patterns, my absolute passion is teaching people to create their own patterns, and crochet freely without inhibition. The purpose of this workshop is to provide you with the tools to plan, create, and freestyle your own completely unique pattern in a way that works. We will be exploring colour theories, rules of stitches, and pattern writing, allowing you to create your own crochet mandala. If this all sounds a bit tricky, it’s okay. That’s what classes are for! I am here to help and support and share. Tea, prosecco and delicious snacks provided. Classes are capped at six participants to provide individualised support and guidance. PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE NECESSARY Basic crochet skills are required for this workshop to make the most of the time available. Nothing fancy, just as long as you know how to hold your hook, your yarn, and maybe chain a few stitches. If your would like to learn the basics, keep an eye out for my next six week series of Intro-to-Crochet classes.
