Two large screens will be installed behind the monument, with a third screen installed further down the hill on the High Street side of the reserve so that all attendees can clearly see the service on the cenotaph.

Expected conclusion of the service is approximately 6:30am.

For those who wish to lay a wreath during the service, it is very important that you register your attendance so that the City’s events team can include you in their wreath laying schedule. Please email or call our Events Administrator on 9432 9728 to register.

There will be free travel on public transport for anyone wearing military uniform or medals travelling to the ANZAC Day Dawn Service or ANZAC Day Parade in Fremantle.

An early train service to Fremantle Station will arrive at Fremantle at 5am.  Shuttle buses will take train passengers from Fremantle Station directly to Monument Hill for the Dawn Service.  The shuttles will return to Fremantle Station at the conclusion of the service, running until 7am.

We encourage the use of public transport if possible. For those who park in streets surrounding the War Memorial, driveways must not be blocked and traffic (including emergency vehicles) must be able to traverse the street.

The drop off point for people with disability and/or seniors is via the entrance on Knutsford Street. Traffic management personnel will monitor who is able to enter this area.

If you have an ACROD permit and will be driving yourself to the service, please contact the City’s events team (see contact details below) to ensure that your name can be placed on the parking list. Parking in the grounds of the Monument is very limited and is only available to participants in the service and ACROD permit holders.

Able bodied drivers are able to drop off disabled or elderly passengers at this entrance point, close to the Monument.  A turning circle will be marked out and drivers will be escorted out of the area by traffic management personnel to find parking elsewhere once they have dropped off their passengers.
