Unlocking the Breath via Movement

Breathing with FREEDOM brings many benefits, including more energy, better sleep, improved metabolism, easier posture, clarity, intuition and happiness. Yet so much in life can lead our breath to be robbed of this freedom! Whether it be from stress - the hustle of life or overstimulation - or dysfunctional patterns we develop from sitting, sports, running, or working repetitively in particular positions, sometimes our breath becomes restricted, shallow and a bit of an afterthought. Of course, we always breathe, but given the IMMENSE VITALITY an easy, expansive breath can bring, honouring the breath pays off in so many ways. During this Afternoon Workshop we will explore the full potential of our breath by moving the body, applying self-massage and calming the nervous system with meditation. Specific techniques will be experienced that unlock joints, stimulate muscles and hydrate fascial tissue to enable us to breathe easy. Mindfulness and meditation will also play a role in creating a grounding space from where the breath can expand. The aim is to give you not only an explorative, mindful and stimulating experience but exercises you then have to apply at work, home, on the run or in your movement practice. Light, nourishing refreshments will be provided for an enjoyable afternoon for YOU. And when YOU are nourished, everyone around you also benefits :)

In a nutshell, this course is for those who have had their curiosity aroused and want to learn more. As with any course we offer, discussing and elaborating on what we are tasting…
