Swing Dance Lessons Every Thursday

Come learn the vintage 1930’s swing dance, the lindy hop, every Thursday in Fremantle! Our classes focus on the authentic Lindy Hop style of the 1930s delivered in a fun and friendly environment. We’ve taught people who have never danced before through to professional dancers of other styles so we understand that everyone learns at a different rate. Beginners (Level 1) runs from 7 pm to 8 pm, intermediates (Level 2) from 8 pm to 9 pm!

Introduction To Buddhism halfday course

2,500 years after the passing of Buddha, his example and teachings still resonate. This half-day course will explain the essential principles of the Buddhist way of life and how we can gain personal benefit from applying these teachings in our busy modern life. We will also learn how we can use meditation as a tool for developing good qualities such as inner peace, love and compassion. This course is perfectly suited for those developing an interest in Buddhism as well as those who simply wish to lead their life with more meaning, wisdom and compassion.

Young Writers Development Program

If you’re a keen writer aged 8-14 this program will stretch and challenge your imagination as well as giving you tips on perfecting your style, editing your work and improving the flow of your story. Our program offers support, motivation and guidance from award winning author, Deb Fitzpatrick, as well as your fellow writers within the group. The aim is for each writer to submit a 700-word piece for publication by the end of the program.

Make Your Own Woven Vessel with Sian Boucherd

Explore the ancient craft of basket weaving and take home your own functional work of art. Weaving is a wonderfully meditative practice that allows you to unplug, slow down and craft something with your own hands. Learn to Crochet Autumn Edition

WHY SUN & FLOWER STUDIOS? I provide crochet classes for people who want to make and create in a safe and encouraging environment, where technique and enjoyment is proritised over perfectionism. I love helping my students grow in confidence and ability, and access whole new levels of calm and purpose that learning a craft can bring. The classes are guided by core values of creativity, compassion, and sustainability. Craft should be enjoyable as well as healthily challenging, and make the most of the resources we have around us. DATES Six week course begins the 12th March 2019 (ending 16 April). Tuesdays 6.30- 8.30 pm at Stackwood in White Gum Valley. COST $50 for 2 hour class, $250 to sign up for six week course in which you will take home a cute Granny square item of your own desire. We also offer a ‘crafty chums’ discount where by persuading a friend to join you in the classes, you both get a 10% discount on the already discounted six week course. THE WORKSHOP Thursday evenings are for learning to crochet a granny square (or several). This gentle, intro-to-the-world-of-crochet course will cover all the basics of using yarn, hooks, and enthusiasm to create your own cushion. Each class will cover a different granny square, and can be taken either as a stand-alone class, or as part of a six week class in which you will learn to join and . So be there or be (granny) square! Tea and delicious snacks provided. Classes are capped at six participants to provide individualised support and guidance. MATERIALS INCLUDED Everything you need is included in the course with a handy kit! Each kit includes a crochet hook, beautiful 100% cotton yarn, and take home patterns.

Learn about this fabulous fern and make your own mounted Elkhorn trophy in this dynamic hands-on workshop. Our plant guru Claire will guide you through the process of preparing your surface board, attaching and presenting your Elkhorn plant.
