Visit Victoria Quay to experience Fremantle's historical port side waterfront with a backdrop to Western Australia's biggest and busiest working port.
The iconic Western Australian Maritime Museum, Leeuwin Ocean Adventures, the Welcome Walls, Fremantle Passenger Terminal, B Shed and a collection of unique markets, cafes and bars are all on Victoria Quay which is only a stone throw away from Fremantle's CBD and train station. Victoria Quay is an ideal spot to escape the bustle of Fremantle's centre and soak up some cool ocean air.
The Rottnest Ferry and Captain Cook Cruises leave regularly from Victoria Quay in front of the B Shed.
The Maritime Museum houses several unique galleries that explore WA's relationship with the sea and home to the winning America's Cup yacht, Australia II, an Oberon class submarine — HMAS Ovens, Jon Sanders' Parry Endeavour and many other iconic vessels from WA's maritime history.
Get a taste of what it is like to be on board a barquentine tall ship, the STS Leeuwin II - a truly unique and memorable experience. The STS Leeuwin II offers a 3-hour coastal sail open to the public, which operate from late October until late April.
Or you can simply stroll along the quay, enjoying the movement of the port, watch the sunset and see what the local fishermen are catching on the day. You might even spot a pod of dolphins.
